Insight on road project offered

The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County will hold a public informational meeting at the Charleston Township Hall, 1499 S. 38th Street, May 7 at 6 p.m., providing information and answering questions about road projects on Mercury Drive between MN Avenue and East Michigan Avenue and MN Avenue between 44th Street and Mercury Drive just north of the Village of Climax.

The two separate road improvement projects in Charleston Township are estimated to cost over $1.8 million anda scheduled to begin sometime this spring or summer according to the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County.

The project includes the construction of a left turn lane on East MN Avenue and 44th Street, realign the intersection of MN Avenue and Mercury Drive and resurface Mercury Drive and MN Avenue within the project limits.
