Law school's Constitution Day discussion to be held virtually, September 17

Each year, Western Michigan University Cooley Law School hosts a public discussion on Constitution Day regarding constitutional effects on current topics. This year’s discussion, which is virtual, is “The Constitution and COVID: Do State and Federal Governments Have the Power to Enforce Mandates,” will be held at noon on Friday, September 17.

During the discussion, WMU-Cooley Criminal and Constitutional Law Professor Joseline Hardrick will be joined by University of Tampa Political Science Professor William Myers. The professors will share how the U.S. Constitution may support health mandates by government bodies and where the document may pose challenges for such requirements.
