How can a company minimize its exposure in an age of increasing cyber risks? There are no easy answers, but there are proven strategies that can help. In a webinar hosted by Wolf Hill Group, a national executive search firm focused on cybersecurity, Wolf Hill Group President Tara Kochis and McDonald Hopkins' James Giszczak, Detroit office, will have an interactive discussion on "The Future of Workplace Security: A Cybersecurity Attorney's Perspective."
The interactive conversation is intended to educate, provoke, and inspire, and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and questions that will help all gain a better understanding of the current state of cybersecurity threats and the most effective ways to address them to protect business operations.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Developing strategies to protect data and enhance workplace security
- Minimizing risk in the age of increasing cloud-based information
- Identifying and protecting potential cyber targets
- Assessing and improving multi-factor authentication systems.
Giszczak is chair of McDonald Hopkins' Litigation Department, co-chair of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, and he serves on the firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He advises clients regarding data security measures and responding to security breaches involving sensitive personal information and protected health information.
A frequent speaker and commentator on data breach issues, Giszczak was interviewed on WWJ and FOX2 (WJBK) in Detroit. He and his team were named a finalist for Advisen's 2017 Cyber Risk Awards for Cyber Law Firm of the Year and Advisen's 2015 Cyber Risk Awards in the Cyber Risk Pre-Breach Team of the Year category.
Giszczak earned a law degree from Notre Dame Law School in 1992. He received a B.A. from Michigan State University's James Madison College in 1989.
"The Future of Workplace Security: A Cybersecurity Attorney's Perspective" is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 9. It is free of charge and open to all. To register, visit https://mcdonaldhopkins.com and click on "events."
