Health care providers can learn about the latest states to enact consumer privacy and data protection laws related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) and the status of proposed federal privacy legislation and more during a free webinar presented by the Butzel Health Care Industry Group from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 11.
The presentation, “Compliance Update: The end of COVID and the Increase in Cyber Security for Health Care and Human Resources Professionals.” will address reporting obligations, current threats, and steps to take to avoid becoming a victim. Presenters also will provide a “crash course” in how the expiration of the COVID-19 emergency declarations will impact group health plans. In addition, webinar participants will get an update on how the Federal government push for greater transparency in health benefits is proceeding.
