The Wolverine Bar Association will host its 2023 President’s Dinner on Thursday, June 22, at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, 315 E. Warren Ave. in Detroit.
The event will celebrate a successful bar year led by President Allen W. Venable, the transition of leadership from outgoing president to incoming president, and the induction of the Wolverine Bar’s 2022-2023 Board of Directors. This year’s keynote speaker will be Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden, the first African American woman on the Michigan Supreme Court. The dinner will also feature State Bar of Michigan President James W. Heath with remarks on the SBM’s efforts on diversity and inclusion.
The evening includes a reception starting at 5:30 p.m. and a dinner program starting 6 p.m. including a strolling buffet and sponsored open bar (with cash bar available).
The event is $60 for Wolverine Bar members and $65 for non-members. To purchase tickets, visit https://bit.ly/2023-WBA-Presidents-Dinner.
