The grants will fund Lakeshore Legal Aid’s Family Law Assistance Project (FLAP) and Estate Planning Clinic (EPC):
• Family Law Assistance Project (FLAP): FLAP provides free civil legal services to families living with low income who are facing family law issues, including divorce, custody, child support, and parenting time.
• Estate Planning Clinic (EPC): EPC offers free legal assistance to older adults who need help with end-of-life planning, including preparing wills, medical powers of attorney, and other essential documents.
These grants align with the Oakland County Bar Foundation’s mission to “ensure to the fullest extent possible that legal services are made available to all members of the public.”
For additional information about FLAP and EPC, call 248-530-9330, ext. 1702. For details about FLAP clinic days and times, visit the Michigan Legal Help Clinics and Events website at https://michiganlegalhelp.org/legal-clinics-and-events.
Lakeshore Legal Aid serves people living with low income, older adults, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in a holistic manner to address clients’ legal issues and improve communities.
