Two-day entrepreneur conference to focus on technology connectivity

DEARBORN (AP) - A conference for entrepreneurs will look at how technologies are connecting the world.

The two-day TiECon Midwest starts Thursday at The Henry in Dearborn and will explore how health is impacted by the way people live and how connectivity is changing health care.

It also features two investment opportunities.

Organizers say investments will be made worldwide and incubation space offered in the Detroit area for startups seeking to improve global health outcomes.

The second is a competition aimed at identifying entrepreneurs and startups with products within connected transport areas. The top finisher will receive a $50,000 investment and the chance to be mentored by corporate executives.

TiE stands for The Indus Entrepreneurs, a group that helps form and launch startups.
