Attorney reappointed to hospital association committee

Linda S. Ross, a partner in and leader of the Health Care Practice Group at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, has been reappointed to the Quality and Accountability Committee of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association. This committee assists in the development of the MHA's assessment of healthcare quality management and patient safety issues, including performance improvement and accreditation/regulatory compliance.

Ross is a highly respected attorney with extensive experience representing health care systems, hospitals, physicians and other providers and suppliers. She regularly serves as lead counsel in affiliations, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, reorganizations, joint ventures and other alignment transactions. In addition, Ross regularly advises clients on health information technology, HIPAA and regulatory compliance matters.

She also continues to serve as a vice chair of the Health Information Technology Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association. In addition, Ross serves on the board of trustees of Alternatives for Girls in Detroit.

Ross has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2005 and in 2015 received special recognition from the publication as the Detroit Information Technology Law "Lawyer of the Year." She also has been recognized as one of the top 50 women attorneys by Michigan Super Lawyers since 2007.

Ross earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School and is a member of the Order of the Coif. Ross received an M.S. in Dental Public Health from Boston University and a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan.
