WMU-Cooley Law Military Law Student Association donates food to homeless veterans

Western Michigan University Cooley Law School’s Military Law Student Association (MLSA) joined forces with the Lansing Volunteers of America to identify a list of food items needed for area homeless veterans. On Aug. 7, members of MLSA delivered items collected during the law school’s summer term “Food Drive for Vets” to Volunteers of America for distribution.

“We are extremely happy with the support given by the WMU-Cooley community to help Lansing area homeless veterans receive food,” said MLSA President Jenae Stolarzyk. “It is very important to show support toward those who have served our country and are homeless.”

As a student organization at WMU-Cooley, MLSA members volunteer and give back to local veteran-related organizations in the local Lansing area. The organization’s mission is to provide an environment where students, faculty, and the community can come together to support past and present military members in the Lansing area and within the law school.
