Cooley professor, graduates honored as 'Women in the Law'

WMU-Cooley Law School Professor and Auxiliary Dean Martha Denning Moore has been named to the "Women in the Law" Class of 2018 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

Moore joins WMU-Cooley graduates Kay E. Kossen of Kreis Enderle Hudgins & Borsos PC in Battle Creek; Gerlinde Nattler of Brinks Gilson & Lione in Ann Arbor; and Mary Pat Rosen of Charfoos & Christensen PC in Royal Oak, who are among 30 attorneys chosen for the annual honor out of numerous nominations.

Each year, the Women in the Law program honors high-achieving women lawyers in Michigan and their accomplishments. The ninth annual Women in the Law awards took place on Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Detroit Marriott Troy.

Before joining WMU-Cooley, Moore was a partner and shareholder at the law firm of Moore & Pozehl, P.C. in Southfield, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Kossen is a shareholder and managing director of Kreis Enderle Hudgins & Boros PC in Battle Creek. She focuses her practice in real estate law, as well as elder law, estate planning probate and trust administration.

A shareholder with Ann Arbor-based Brinks, Gilson & Lione, Nattler's primary area of practice includes intellectual property law and focuses on patent prosecution and IP portfolio management. Her area of emphasis includes mechanics, electronics, hydraulics and computerized processes.
