Great Trials Podcast to launch Jan. 1, featuring conversations with America's top trial lawyers

The Great Trials Podcast, a new legal podcast, will officially launch on Tuesday, Jan. 1, bringing weekly interviews with America’s top trial lawyers to iTunes, Spotify and other popular podcast platforms. The podcast is co-hosted by Steve Lowry and Yvonne Godfrey, two award-winning trial lawyers.

The Great Trials Podcast features in-depth conversations with leading trial attorneys from across the country, who discuss the courtroom strategies that helped them win landmark cases. Every episode includes one or two lawyers talking about a significant case they successfully argued in front of a judge and jury.

Attorneys featured in upcoming podcast episodes include Tommy and Adam Malone of Malone Law; Chris Stewart of Stewart, Seay & Felton Trial Attorneys; Randi McGinn of McGinn Montoya Love & Curry, P.A.; Tab Turner of Turner and Associates; Laura Shamp of Shamp Jordan Woodward; Russ Herman of Herman Herman & Katz LLC; John Romano of Romano Law Group; and Barry Eichen of Eichen Crutchlow Zazlow, LLP.

“I’m a huge podcast fan, and it’s been my dream to launch a podcast with a focus on America’s greatest trials,” said podcast co-host and founder Steve Lowry. “I hope our listeners gain an appreciation of the remarkable strategy, creativity and hard work that goes into winning a trial.”

Lowry, a partner at Harris Lowry Manton LLP and two-time inductee in the Georgia Verdicts Hall of Fame, has been honored by the American Association of Justice with the F. Scott Baldwin Award for Most Outstanding Trial Lawyer of the Year and has been recognized twice as a Georgia Super Lawyers Top 100 attorney. He has secured a number of Top 10 jury verdicts in Georgia, including a $43.5 million jury verdict in Terhune v. Forum Group Corp et al., the state’s largest judgment on record against a nursing home facility; a $40 million jury verdict for Jenkins v. Lambert, Georgia’s top jury verdict for 2016; and a $11.5 million verdict for Bilbrey v. United States of America, one of the biggest verdicts ever secured against the United States government.

Godfrey, an associate attorney at Harris Lowry Manton LLP, practices in the areas of product liability, personal injury, wrongful death and whistleblower litigation. Honored as a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star, she has played a key role in some of the firm’s biggest trials, including the Sarah Jones wrongful death case, which resulted in a $11.2 million jury verdict and inspired major safety improvements in the film industry. Godfrey currently serves on the Young Alumni Committee for the University of Georgia School of Law and previously served on the executive committee for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.

“It’s been fascinating to get a behind-the-scenes look at the strategies as well as the challenges involved in trying these cases,” said podcast co-host Yvonne Godfrey. “We look forward to sharing many more episodes with our listeners in the future.”
