MotorCity Gumball LLC announces the launch of the MotorCity Gumball Car Rally benefiting the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and Animal Aid

The inaugural MotorCity Gumball Rally, featuring more than 50 exotic, muscle and custom cars, is set to run on the weekend of Sept. 22-23 highlighted with stops all along the state of Michigan. The rally will be a combination of a two-day automotive race and fundraiser. Starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, between 50-70 teams are expected to navigate their way through scenic Michigan in an effort to raise money for local charities. Teams will begin at MotorCity Casino in downtown Detroit and head out to the west side of the state with several checkpoint stops along the way. Rally teams will then enjoy amazing back road and coastal driving on the way to their final destination at the luxurious Crystal Mountain Spa and Resort located in Thompsonville. MotorCity Gumball will host a dinner and party for all teams that night at the resort. On Sunday morning, the teams will make their way back through the state via checkpoints to arrive at the finish line located at Cauley Performance Automotive in West Bloomfield. Cauley Performance Automotive will be hosting a custom and exotic car show followed by an awards ceremony to welcome the finishing teams.

The starting event will be open to the public and people are encouraged to come down and cheer on the teams as they start. The finish line car show event is also open to the public and all guests are encouraged to bring their own cars out to join in on the fun.

Spaces are still available for teams wishing to take part in the rally. More information can be found at: www.motorcitygumball.com
