Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrates community partners in a big way

73rd Annual Volunteer Recognition and BIG Celebration

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint and Genesee County will honor “Bigs of the Year” and community partners for outstanding service rendered, during their BIG Celebration. This evening of excellence will be complete with awards, recognition of milestone anniversaries, music, dinner, dancing, and everything the community needs to have fun and feel appreciated. The “Driving the Future” themed event will commence at 7:00pm on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at General Motors’s newly renovated, historic Durant-Dort Factory One building, 303 W. Water Street, in downtown Flint.

“Today’s youth propel tomorrow’s progress, and Big Brothers Big Sisters and its volunteers fuel the youth, today,” Amber Williams, Board Member and Event Chair, affirms that this organization’s mission to provide children with life changing relationships is attained through the time and resources donated by members of the community. Contributions from this year’s BIG Celebration will benefit mentor programming statistically proven to build confidence, encourage positive interaction, and reduce risky behaviors in youth around Flint and Genesee County.
