Roberts named vice chair of Regulatory Reform

State Rep. Brett Roberts has been appointed by House Speaker Kevin Cotter to serve as vice chair of the Regulatory Reform Committee for the 98th Legislature.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be named vice chair for the Regulatory Reform Committee,” Roberts said. “House Republicans have done a fantastic job of making the tough, correct decisions to help our state's turnaround during the past four years, and I look forward to being part of a team that will continue to make positive strides forward. The Legislature has worked tirelessly to make our state more competitive, including removing more than 2,000 burdensome rules and regulations. I’m ready to work with my colleagues so we can ensure a continued recovery and a brighter future for our great state.”
Roberts also was named as a member of the Workforce and Talent Development, Agriculture and Energy Policy committees.
“Being a sixth-generation farmer has prepared me to understand and appreciate the issues that affect our rural communities,” Roberts said. “I look forward to using my experience to help give a voice to our state’s farmers and the 65th District.”
