In celebration of Valentine's Day, here are two attorney couples that met while students at Michigan State University College of Law. At far left, John and Monica Inhulsen, who met while standing in line for coffee at the law school, will celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. Monica is an attorney at Alticor Inc.; and John is a partner at Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith, P.C. The key to a successful union of two legal minds? "Recognizing that at home Monica is the judge and there is no appeal," John says.
Brad and Sarah Luchsinger, married for 18 months, met at the Dublin Square Irish pub in East Lansing. Brad is an attorney at Harness, Dickey & Pierce, P.L.C., and Sarah is an attorney at Worsham & Victor, PC. Their key to success? "Different practice areas," says Brad. "This decreases the likelihood that dinner table conversations will be spent arguing over a point of law."
