Annual Charity Golf Scramble

The Catholic Charities 6th Annual Charity Golf Scramble was held Aug. 12 at Lakeland Hills Golf Club in Jackson. Proceeds benefit Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties. The event raised $13,300 from the Golf Scramble and $4,100 from the Ball Drop Raffle, for a total of $17,400.
 

Helping Hands

For over 50 years, Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale Counties has been reaching out to provide help and create hope for those in need in the community. Golfers at this annual event helped to support:

• Transporting local seniors to medical appointments

• Forensic interviews and ongoing services for child victims of sexual or severe physical abuse

• Outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling

• Providing children of abuse and neglect with a loving foster home or a forever home through adoption services

• Helping high-risk teens graduate from high school

• Filling thousands of orders at the Personal Needs and Linen Closet
