Attorney among four new members of Hospice of Michigan Foundation Board

Hospice of Michigan is pleased to welcome four community partners to the Hospice of Michigan Foundation Board of Directors. They join 22 current board members supporting the not-for-profit’s mission to deliver the highest quality of care to patients and families across Michigan.

Miller Johnson attorney Ryan Duffy is a member in the firm’s healthcare reimbursement practice group. The Grand Rapids resident was a U.S. Navy pilot and flight instructor for nine years, earning a Naval Commendation medal for efforts during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

As an Emmy-nominated television reporter with Nexstar Media Group, Inc., Jordan Carson is a co-host for WOOD-TV’s eightWest and director for WOTV4Women’s ‘Live Local Give Local.’ Carson is also a Gracie Allen Award recipient for her documentary, “Dying to Be Thin.” The Grand Rapids native previously served on the Board of Directors for other local non-profit organizations.

Melissa Jagst, an audit partner at Deloitte, joins the board with more than 26 years of public accounting experience, and has extensive knowledge in the health care and not-for-profit industries. Prior to becoming a board member, the Northville resident served as Deloitte’s Central Region Women’s Initiative Leader.

Chief Development Officer at The Bradley Company, David Morrison has a history of community partnership and has held board member positions at the Detroit Institute of Arts, JCC-Metro Detroit and the David R. and Effi P. Weinberg Foundation. He currently resides in Huntington Woods.

“We are incredibly honored to welcome these individuals to the Hospice of Michigan Board of Directors,” said Bob Cahill, president and CEO of Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice. “At Hospice of Michigan, our strength comes from working together with urgency, purpose, compassionate accountability and a commitment to excellence. We are confident our new board members share our mission and will continue to push our organization forward.”
