The Friends of Macomb County Veterans Treatment Court (FMCVTC) was the beneficiary of Cooley Law School’s recent charity fund-raising event, which featured dinner, music, live comedy and a silent auction.

PHOTO #1: Among those enjoying the event on Cooley’s Auburn Hills campus were (left to right) Cooley Asst. Dean Lisa Halushka, Associate Dean John Nussbaumer, Lori Smith of Bowyer and Midtgard PC, FMCVTC President Gail Pamukov-Miller, John E. Walds, Oakland County 51st District Court Judge Jodi Debbrecht Switalski, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Mark Switalski, Wendy Stickley and Keith Stickley.  “Cooley Law School has long supported our veterans through various programs such as the Cooley Veteran Corp and our Service to Soldiers: Legal Assistance Program,” said Halushka. “The Macomb County Veterans Treatment Court allows individuals, who have served our country, an opportunity to get help. Many times their actions are a result of circumstances directly related to their service to our country and this is yet another way Cooley can offer support to our veterans.”

PHOTO #2: Music at the event was provided by The Cat’s Pajamas featuring (left to right) U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Steven Whalen, Cooley Law School Professor Ron Bretz, arbitrator Barry Goldman, Jim Hart, attorney David Hardesty  and Daniel Bretz of Clark Hill PLC.

PHOTO #3: Also providing some musical parody entertainment was Cooley Associate Dean Jim Robb singing “Good Morning Starbucks.” The event raised $5,145 in contributions and pledges, all of which will be donated to FMCVTC.
