IP pro bono initiative examined

The Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA) presented a “USPTO Intellectual Property Pro Bono Initiative” program recently at the Auburn Hills campus of Cooley Law School. John Calvert of the United States Patent and Trade Office in Washington, D.C. spoke via video conference to the audience. Among those on hand for the event were (left to right) MIPLA Vice President Chris Francis of Bejin, VanOphem, & Bieneman PLC; Cooley Professor David Berry, director of the Graduate Program in Intellectual Property; and MIPLA Attendance Chair Dan Hegner of Reising Ethington PC.
