Ninety-one golfers turned out at Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak on Monday for the annual golf outing presented by the Oakland County Bar Association.

Red Run, which was founded in 1914, was designed by noted Scottish golf architect Willie Park Jr., a two-time winner of The Open championship.

Stout served as the lead sponsor of the OCBA event, which was shortened by a heavy downpour late in the afternoon, offering participants an early opportunity to enjoy a “Happy Hour” inside the Red Run clubhouse.

Despite the abbreviated round, the winning team of Henry Nirenberg, Paul Nirenberg, Kevin Wilhelmi, and Matt Wilhelmi posted an impressive 12-under-par score.

Claiming the Long Drive for Women prize was Laura Peters. The winner of the Long Drive for Men was Marcus Smetka.

Closest to the Pin honors for women was won by Kristiana Boutell, while Matt Wilhelmi took the Closest to the Pin prize for men.
The winner of the Straightest Drive contest was Pat Derkacz.

Serving as emcee of the awards ceremony was attorney Ed Lennon, chair of the golf outing committee. Other members of the committee included Russ Carniak, Ethan Holtz, Rob Morad, Lynn Sirich, Kyle Williams, Sarah Gabis, and Maura Battersby.

Also helping sponsor the outing were Cendrowski Advisors; CORE IME; Minute Man Services, Inc.; Stevenson & Bullock; and Dickinson Wright PLLC.
