FBA presents 'State of the Court'

The Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, kicked off its annual luncheon program on Oct. 23 with a “State of the Court” address by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Denise Page Hood (center), Eastern District of Michigan. A member of the federal bench since 1994, Hood previously served on the Wayne County Circuit Court, the Recorder’s Court, and the Wayne County 36th District Court. Among those attending last month’s luncheon were (left to right) U.S. District Court Judge Gershwin Drain, Eastern District of Michigan; Miriam Siefer, chief counsel of the Federal Defender Office; and former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kurtis Wilder, now Of Counsel with Butzel Long.
