While many members of the Muskegon County Bar Association were busy celebrating at the annual Barrister’s Ball, the attorneys and staff of Williams, Hughes, and Cook were busy working at the Mission for Area People.

Part of the attorneys and staff were inside Temple Methodist manning the supper house Friday evening meal while another part of  the Williams, Hughes and Cook staff were busy in the parking lot assisting area residents by passing out food to those in need from a Gleaner Truck (Feeding America of West Michigan) sponsored by the law firm.

Other members of the firm indicate that this gesture was mainly the idea of attorney Douglas Hughes, and the rest of the firm was glad to get behind the idea and support it.

It was a chilly Friday night, but everyone was wearing a smile as they assisted people through the food line around the truck. They greeted everyone with friendliness and good cheer and even assisted people loading the food into their transportation.

The concept of the Gleaner Truck is to provide food for all who are present until the food is gone. There is no application form or income qualification necessary.

Congratulations to Williams, Hughes and Cook for helping those in need and celebrating the real meaning of the holiday season by giving to others.
