Wings of Mercy provides transportation to far-off medical facilities for those who would otherwise not be able to fly to them, and it has flown 8000 missions since its founding in 1991. The Care Affaire has been a major fund-raiser for decades and incorporates a lot of fun.

Attending this year were students, parents, and staff from the Muskegon Community College TRIO Upward Bound Project, which works with students in grades 9 through 12 at Muskegon High and Muskegon Heights Academy to assist them on their journey through secondary education and to prepare them for postsecondary education. The program also encourages them to give back to the community, as they did at Care Affaire.
