'Festifools' brings out fools - and politicians

There is a funny little annual event in Ann Arbor where people dress up in costumes or carry large marionettes, and walk around in a large oval on Main Street, applauded by a thousand or so residents.

Festifools takes place at some point close to April Fools Day.

In addition to common folk who just make their costumes up (the library has a workshop), a number of politicians came out this year.

Attending Festifools was probably better than the alternative: it was also the weekend of the Ann Arbor Hash Bash, the annual praisefest regarding marijuana.
