The Great Lakes Kite Festival was such an institution in Grand Haven that when the originators, MACKite Company, announced in 2018 that it would end, some supporters got together and started a new one, just like the old one.
Which is all in all a good thing.
The First Annual Kite Festival @ Grand Haven took place last weekend at Grand Haven State Park, and was a rousing success.
Inflatable and traditional kites were flown by the public as well as the organizers, many to music.
