The eighth annual Bling Thing, a fund-raiser put on by the Friends of Hackley Public Library, will again offer jewelry, purses, scarves, vintage clothing and more for sale.

It takes place Feb. 7 (Friday) from 5 to 8 p.m, and Feb. 8 (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Century Club Ballroom, 356 W. Western Ave., downtown Muskegon and is open to the public on both days.

On Friday, a $10 donation at the door includes wine, chocolates and an opportunity to shop  from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests can purchase chances on the popular gift card raffle trees and other gift baskets.

On Saturday, the floor will close briefly at noon and reopen at 12:15 p.m. with everything half off. This is the perfect time to stock up for craft work or playthings for the grandchildren when they visit.Biggby Coffee will provide complimentary coffee and hot chocolate.

All proceeds benefit library programs and activities throughout the year. Since 2013, Bling Thing has raised more than $10,000 annually for the Library. Combined with its other fund-raisers, the Friends raises over $20,000 yearly for Hackley Public Library programs.
