Judges required for law school's ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition on Feb. 13

WMU-Cooley Law School will host the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition, to be held virtually on Saturday, February 13.
Both attorney and non-attorney judges are needed for the preliminary rounds from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Judges will watch three rounds where two student attorneys conduct an initial client interview on the topic of amateur sports/entertainment law.

“The competition is not about the law, rather it’s about how well the students get the basic facts, how well they listen, how well they communicate with the client, and preliminarily lay out some options for the client,” said competition organizer and WMU-Cooley Professor Christine Zellar Church.
