The Thomas M. Cooley Law School Center for Ethics, Service, and Professionalism, along with Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. Fraternity, and Edge for Excellence hosted Congressman Hansen Clarke as part of the “Integrity in Our Communities” speaker series on Monday, June 20, at Cooley’s Auburn Hills campus.

He addressed approximately 75 people, mainly CLEO College Prelaw Summer Institute students and Cooley law students.

The topic of Clarke’s keynote speech was titled “Ethics, Service, and Professionalism in Everything I Do.”

Clarke credited the CLEO program that he participated in years ago with helping him succeed in law school, complimented Cooley on its commitment to graduating students who aspire to public service, including 2010 Cooley graduate Jacquise Purifoy, one of his staffers, and encouraged the CLEO students to consider attending Cooley because the school values faculty members with a heart for serving the community.
