Federal court at Cooley

On Monday, June 27, U.S. District Court Judge David M. Lawson (center), Eastern District of Michigan, presided over three civil motions at Thomas M. Cooley Law School's Auburn Hills campus.

The program is part of the Federal Bar Association's educational efforts to bring motion calls to all of the law schools in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Cooley's trial courtroom was packed, standing room only, with law students, faculty members, and the college students participating in the American Bar Association's Council of Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) College Prelaw Summer Institute.

On hand to welcome Lawson to Cooley's Auburn Hills campus were (left to right) Associate Dean John Nussbaumer and Associate Professor Alan Gershel.
