The Criminal Practice Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, hosted a panel discussion looking into “E-Discovery in Criminal Cases” on Thursday, May 10, at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit.

Taking part in the program were (front row, left to right) Special Agent Andrew Sluss, Matthew Leitman of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC; Joe Richotte of Butzel Long PC; and Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Lemisch; along with (back row, left to right) U.S. District Court Judges David Lawson and Robert Cleland, and Michael Naughton of Thomas & Naughton PC.

“Today we are going to discuss the new working group’s recommendations on how prosecutors and defense attorneys can collaborate to try and avoid some of the discovery disputes that might normally arise,” said Richotte.
