Shakespeare on justice

The Book Club of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, conducted a discussion on “A Thousand Times More Fair: What Shakespeare’s Plays Teach Us About Justice” by Kenji Yoshino on Friday, Dec. 7, at the T. Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit.

Wayne State University Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies Kenneth Samuel Jackson led the discussion which focused on Shakespeare’s “Merchant of Venice” and “Measure by Measure.”

The primary goal of the Book Club is to facilitate an informal but elevated dialogue between the bench and bar.

The club is non-partisan.
