Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Brunch planned for March 10

The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers (ISIAL) invites the community to join the 17th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Brunch, preceding the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, on Sunday, March 10, at Mario’s Restaurant. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with brunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and program to begin about 11:15 a.m.  Mario’s Restaurant is located at 4222 Second Avenue in , Detroit. A special brunch menu will be presented along with drink specials.

The event will feature music for a sing-a-long presented by Cahill & Murphy as well as commentary from co-MCs Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Mike Riordan and ISIAL lawyer and author Fred Lauck.
A return must-see to this year’s entertainment program will be an Irish dance routine by renowned Irish dancer Paul Cusick, an ISIAL board member, and expected appearances from the Maid of Erin and the parade Grand Marshal.
Space is limited, and reservations—priced at $25 per person for ISIAL members; $30 for ISIAL non-member guests; $10 for those children 12 years old and under; and $20 for law student ISIAL members—will go fast and must be purchased in advance by Friday, March 8.  Otherwise, all adult brunches will be $35 at the door without a reservation and pre-payment.
Again this year there will be a shuttle service from Mario’s to the Gaelic League for the parade so attendees have plenty of time to make it there on time. There will be a $4 charge for parking at a lot across the street from Mario’s, and a suggested contribution of $2 per person each way for the shuttle ride to and from the parade. Shuttles will leave Mario’s at 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. There will be a shuttle located in the rear area of the Gaelic League during the parade for our use, and the shuttle will be available for pick-ups from the parade until 6 p.m. Also, a shuttle will be available at the Gaelic League parking lot at 10:30 a.m. with advance reservation to Mario’s. For questions about parking or shuttle service, call shuttle operator Tony Drake at 313-680-8014. More information about the shuttles will be provided at the brunch.
