Firm sponsors Women's Franchise Network event

The Women's Franchise Network (WFN) of Southeast Michigan, an affiliate of the International Franchise Association, presents "B-Dubs in the D: The Recipe for Getting the Other Wings Franchise Downtown," a networking event for franchisors and franchisees, at the new three-story Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) in Downtown Detroit on Tuesday, April 30, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Joining Miller Canfield lawyer and franchise practice group leader Irene Bruce Hathaway will be Michael Ansley, CEO and chairman of Diversified Restaurant Holdings (DRH), one of BWW's largest franchisees, to discuss why it chose Downtown Detroit as its 15th Michigan location. DRH operates 18 other BWW locations in Florida, Illinois, and Indiana and is the owner, operator and franchisor of Bagger Dave's Legendary Burger Tavern, with 12 locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Missouri.

Attendees will also hear from Mark Denson, business attraction manager for the Detroit Economic Growth Corp., who will discuss the organization's role in helping franchisees invest downtown and other strategic investment targets.

The new BWW is located at 1218 Randolph St. in Detroit, two blocks east of the Greektown People Mover station. Reservations for the event are required. To register, contact Joanne Theisen at 313-963-6240 ext. 6306 or theisen@millercanfield.com. This WFN meeting is sponsored by the Franchise Team at Miller Canfield.
