Judge sets trial for men in two teens drug slayings

DETROIT (AP) - A Detroit judge has ordered two men to trial on first-degree murder charges in the drug-related killing of two suburban Detroit teens in 2012. The bodies of 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish and 18-year-old Jacob Kudla were found in a field on Detroit's east side. The Westland residents had been missing for five days. On Wednesday, District Judge Michael Wagner ruled that there's enough evidence to try 25-year-old Fredrick K. Young of Detroit and 23-year-old Ferlando D. Hunter of Jackson. The Young and Hunter are scheduled to appear in Wayne County Circuit Court for arraignment July 23. Authorities say the teens went to a house in Detroit looking to buy drugs but instead were robbed, tortured and shot. Published: Fri, Jul 18, 2014
