The Wayne County 35th District Court defeated its friends from the Wayne County 24th District Court 9-7 in a spirited softball contest on Tuesday, August 25, at Massey Field in Plymouth. Enjoying a summer evening of fun were (kneeling, left to right) Kim, Chrissy, Tammy, Jessica, Sarah, Michelle, Kristen, Alyssa, Janelle, and Anna; along with (standing, left to right) Chico, Joe, Rick, Matt, Jeff, Chad, Wayne County 24th District Court Judge Richard Page, Steve, Chris, Todd, Katelin, Jodie, Nick, and Wayne County 35th District Court Chief Judge Pro Tem Michael Gerou. It was a team victory with major contributions coming from the entire line-up featuring a 20 hit assault.  The ladies of the 35th District went clubbing at the game. The 35th District held an early lead 5-2, but the 24th District rallied for 5 runs in the 6th inning to take a two run lead.  While the outlook for the home team was ominous to the casual observer, there was no quit on this 35th District squad. In the bottom of the 6th, Nick had the game tying base hit with bases loaded and Steve drove in the winning run plus an insurance run. Katie barred the door in the top of the 7th inning to seal the victory. The small but exuberant home crowd showered the field with fish sticks in celebration.
