At the Wednesday, August 26, Oakland County Board of Commissioners meeting in Pontiac, proclamations were presented in recognition of Oakland County Community Mental Health/OSAS and the Health Division’s efforts in promoting and supporting National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month in Oakland County.

PHOTO #1: On hand for the proclamation presentation were (left to right) Oakland County Commissioner Shelley Goodman Taub; Christina Nicholas, manager of Oakland County Community Mental Health/OSAS; Kathy Forzley, manager of the Health Division; and Oakland County Commissioner Michael Spisz. On September 25, the 8th Annual Oakland County Recovery Month Celebration and Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oakland County Market, located at 2350 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford. PHOTO #2: Also during the August 26 meeting, We3 & She members (left to right) Cayenne Johnson, Erica Maroud, and Ginger Johnson performed the Star-Spangled Banner before receiving their proclamations from Oakland County Board Chairman Michael J. Gingell (far right) which honored the five member group for its contributions to several worthy causes and events over the years. The group has performed frequently free of charge to raise money and awareness for cancer events/charities, Huntington’s Disease, suicide prevention, and many other efforts. They have performed at festivals as well. Members not pictured are Phoebe Holmes and Jaclyn Holmes.
