The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association conducted a membership meeting on Thursday, March 17, at the offices of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss PC in Southfield. The meeting topic focused on representing local government as in-house counsel as well as outside counsel retention by local government. One of the speakers was City of Detroit Corporation Counsel Melvin “Butch” Hollowell (center). Thanking Hollowell for addressing the association were (left to right) Michael Jackson of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC; Roshunda Price of Jaffe; Aaron Burrell of Dickinson Wright PLLC; and Rasul Raheem of Bank of America.
