On Tuesday, May 17, the Oakland County Circuit and Probate Courts hosted Court of Appeals Judge Bernard M. Choueiri (sixth from left) from Lebanon. Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Denise Langford Morris (sixth from right) and Probate Chief Judge Linda Hallmark (fifth from right) gave the visiting judge and his delegation a brief tour of the courthouse, which included an opportunity to observe a civil jury trial and view a criminal docket.  Circuit Court Chief Judge Nanci Grant (fifth from left), along with several colleagues, welcomed Choueiri to the courthouse and Langford Morris presented the judge with a gavel as a remembrance of his visit to Oakland County.  Choueiri was in town as a guest of the American Human Rights Council which recently honored him at their annual gala in Dearborn.  Also happy to greet Choueiri were (left to right) Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Leo Bowman, retired Judge Fred Mester, Oakland County Circuit Court Judges Mary Ellen Brennan and Judge Hala Jarbou, Pascal Choueiri, Imad Hamad, Hala Sbeiti, and London Bell.
