Society plans Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Brunch for March 11

The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers will host its 22nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Brunch, preceding the St. Patrick's Day Parade, on Sunday, March 11, at Mario's Restaurant. Doors open at 9:45 a.m. Mario's Restaurant is located at 4222 Second Avenue in Detroit. A special brunch menu will be presented complete with top-notch cuisine from one of Detroit's premier restaurants along with drink specials.

The event will feature Irish music presented by Cahill & Murphy, as well as snappy commentary from co-MCs Michigan Court of Appeals Judge and former ISIAL President Mike Riordan, Wayne County 31st District Court Judge Alexis Krot, and attorney Fred Lauck.

A must-see to this year's entertainment program will be appearances from the Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies f/k/a Maid of Erin Court, the Court of St. Brigid, and the parade Grand Marshals Erin and Dave Keem. The event will also feature the annual raffle for the ISIAL scholarship fund.

Space is extremely limited. Tickets must be purchased in advance by Friday, March 9, and are priced at $30 for ISIAL members; $35 for non-members; $10 for children (under 12); and $25 for law students. Adult brunches will be $40 at the door without advance reservation. Reservations are held at the door. No tickets are issued.

Shuttle service from Mario's to/from the parade is available (for a small fee). Shuttle to the Gaelic League and parade staging area leaves Mario's at around 11:45 a.m. (for people marching) and 12:15 p.m. A shuttle bus will be located behind Gaelic League during the parade, with the last shuttle back to Mario's at around 5 p.m. (or otherwise by reservation).
