Oakland Mediation Center (OMC), an Oakland County based non-profit organization, will host a “48-Hour Domestic Relations Mediation Training” delivered by attorneys Antoinette Raheem and Earlene Baggett-Hayes. It will teach participants the skills necessary to act as mediators in facilitating the resolution of domestic relations disputes from the initial consultation to writing the mediation agreement.
OMC’s upcoming training will be held May 2, 3, 4 9, 10, and 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Cost for the training is $1,490 and includes the new State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) required 8-Hour Domestic Violence Screening Training for mediators. Participants can receive $100 off the training fee if they register by April 2.
“OMC has been dedicated to providing quality mediation training for over 28 years,” said Charity Burke, OMC executive director. “Training is designed to give participants, from all backgrounds, skills they can use immediately to serve and make a lasting impact on our community.”
OMC’s trainings are approved by SCAO and are designed to be highly interactive and skill based. The trainings take place at the OMC offices in Bloomfield Hills and include continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and course materials.
