Oakland Mediation Center announces online mediation services

Oakland Mediation Center (OMC), an Oakland County based non-profit organization, is pleased to announce online mediation services. Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) is a modern development of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). OMC offers more choices for clients, while understanding the benefits and challenges of this technology.

"OMC has been dedicated to providing quality and accessible mediation services for over 28 years," said Charity Burke, OMC executive director. "Our Online Dispute Resolution service is intended to save clients valuable time and money."

The new online services will enable parties to easily participate in mediation from anywhere in the world using their PC, tablet, or smart phone. This modern approach to ADR allows for caucusing and for the process to flow in the same way as in-person meetings. Documents, photographs, and video can all be shared and viewed with everyone involved in the online mediation session clearly and in real time. Clients will simply download the software for free, and click a link, or enter a meeting ID sent to them by an OMC staff member, to join the secure and private mediation session.

For additional information about the trainings, contact the Oakland Mediation Center at 248-338-4280.
