Making it official

As retirement beckons, Oakland County Circuit Judge Wendy Potts (second from right) received a special proclamation December 6 from the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. A member of the Circuit Court bench since 1998, Potts has enjoyed an illustrious legal career, highlighted in 2010 when she was presented with the Champion of Justice Award from the State Bar of Michigan. Pictured with Potts, who sported a nifty “1200” hat signifying the Telegraph Road address of the courthouse, were (left to right) her husband, attorney David Potts; Commissioner Shelley Goodman Taub; Board Chairman Michael Gingell; and Commissioner David Woodward.

Also recognized during the board’s Dec. 6 meeting were outgoing County Commissioners (left to right) Hugh D. Crawford, Tom J. Berman, Doug Tietz, and David E.S. Bowman.  Also leaving the Board but not pictured are Commissioners Bill Dwyer and Wade Fleming.
