Packing backpacks

As part of the Clark Hill Detroit office’s 12 Months of Giving initiative, the law firm partnered with Detroit 90/90 - University Preparatory Schools in Detroit to provide 77 backpacks with school supplies to the incoming kindergarten class at University Preparatory Academy - Ellen Thompson Elementary School. Showing some of the backpacks were (left to right) Maria Dwyer, member in charge, Clark Hill Detroit; Mark Ornestein, CEO of Detroit 90/90 University Prep Schools; Rian English Barnhill, executive director of Marketing & Development, Detroit 90/90 University Prep Schools.

Among those helping to fill the backpacks were (left to right) Paula Proffitt  and Pamela Bright of Clark Hill. The backpacks were stuffed with school supplies, and Clark Hill staff pitched in by donating baby wipes and coloring and activity books. They also provided monetary contributions to fund any additional needed supplies. Clark Hill volunteers assembled supply totes for the three kindergarten teachers as well.
