Guardianship and conservatorship classes resume in December

The Oakland County Probate Court will resume its free seminars for court appointed guardians and conservators, beginning December 2020.

The classes will be presented, via Zoom, on the first and second Wednesdays of the month. The conservatorship classes will be held on the first Wednesday of the month and the guardianship classes will be held on the second Wednesday. The presentations run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a question and answer session from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

These basic training courses provide essential information and tools for handling the duties of a guardian and conservator. The seminars are taught by local attorneys who are experts in the field. The classes include practical advice on how to handle many common situations as well as the procedures and forms needed to fulfill the legal responsibilities of a guardian and conservator.

The Zoom log-in information, the class schedules, and the accompanying class packets can be found on the Oakland County Probate Court website at www.oakgov.com/courts/probate.
