Federal Bar plans another 'doubleheader' program for Jan. 12

The Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Federal Bar Association--Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, following its well received "doubleheader" format, is hosting "Two Important Topics and a Boxed Lunch" on Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. in Room 115 of the Levin Courthouse in Detroit.

This year's topics are Federal Summary Judgment Standards and Motions and Facilitating Settlement in the Federal System. Attendees will hear judges and experienced practitioners offer advice on these key employment practice issues.

The Summary Judgment Panel will convene at 1 p.m. and includes: U.S. District Court Judges Marianne O. Battani and Robert H. Cleland, Kathleen L. Bogas and Joseph A. Ritok Jr.

The Settlement Panel will convene at 2 p.m. and includes: U.S. Magistrate Judge Virginia M. Morgan, Deborah M. Barno (supervisory trial attorney for the EEOC's Detroit Field Office), Joseph A. Golden, and Gregory V. Murray. Robert M. Vercruysse will moderate the panel discussions.
