Sarah Wixson named a partner at Varnum

Sarah Wixson, a business and health care attorney based in Varnum’s Ann Arbor office, is one of five attorneys recently elected to the firm’s partnership.

Wixson, who joined the firm in 2018 as an associate, works with businesses, physicians, physician groups and other health care entities on a range of matters and also handles shareholder and corporate disputes, complex commercial litigation and real estate matters.

She received her law degree from Wayne State University Law School and her undergraduate degree from Hope College.

The other four new partners are Katie Roskam, a tax attorney based in the Grand Rapids office; and three in the Novi office: corporate and financial services attorney Mallory Field, litigation and family law attorney Sam Vitale, and Kevin Macaddino, who focuses his practice on commercial real estate.
 

Bodman attorney Moriam Aigoro appointed to INTA Committee

Moriam M. Aigoro, an attorney in Bodman’s Ann Arbor office, has been appointed to a two-year term on the Young Practitioners Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the leading global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property.

The Young Practitioners Committee develops and implements services and programs specifically designed for professionals who are early in their careers. The Committee’s activities include development and review of course materials, identification of speakers and moderators, and the planning of various events and award programs.

Kelley N. Goldberg, of the firm’s Grand Rapids office, has been appointed to a two-year term on INTA’s Non-Traditional Marks Committee.

Goldberg and Aigoro are both members of Bodman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.
