Introduction to Practice concludes

The Oakland County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Basic Skills Seminar Series “Introduction to Practice” concluded on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.

Providing a look into “Law Practice Management” were (left to right) Birmingham attorney Gail Straith, Diane Ebersole, Moheeb Murray of Bush, Seyferth, & Paige PLLC; and Cooley Associate Dean Joan Vestrand, Ann Arbor campus.

“We’re focusing on helping new lawyers to really learn how to manage a law practice,” noted Straith who is a member of the OCBA Continuing Legal Education Committee.

“For people who are out of law school, who  are thinking of opening up their own firm, or joining a small firm, they’ll get a lot of benefit as far as how to gain new clients, retain them, have technology for their law office, and how to avoid malpractice claims.”
