Forum looks at 'Growing Your Clients' Business and Yours'

The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section’s Small Business Forum presented “Growing Your Clients’ Business and Yours: How to Help You and Your Clients Succeed” on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Columbia Center in Troy.

The program featured a panel which discussed how clients can find new customers—and how attorneys can find new clients—both online and through traditional networking.

Speaking at the program were (left to right)  Rob Luce, program manager, MichAuto, Detroit Regional Chamber; Jeff Aronoff, executive director, D:Hive; moderator Doug Toering of Toering Law Firm PLLC; moderator Gale D. Frentz, vice president, Continuing Professional Education, MACPA; Eric Stief, senior vice president, Auto Harvest Foundation; and Vince Nystrom, vice president, Pure Michigan Business Connect, MEDC.

The Small Business Forum, established by the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan in 2006, specifically caters to business owners, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals who work with closely-held businesses.

The Forum hosts three productive, time-efficient, and fun educational events throughout the year.  Every event includes a light supper and a time to network with other business professionals.  In honor of the Oct. 25 program taking place on the second day of the World Series, attendees got to enjoy pizza and hot dogs.
