Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section presents ethics program at event, Jan. 19

The State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section will continue its meet & greet series with a program called "Cheers, Chow & Know-How" from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, at Cowley's Pub located at 33338 Grand River Ave. in downtown Farmington. The evening will include a presentation from 7 to 8 p.m. on "Why Ethics Matter" by Robert Edick, deputy grievance administrator for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission. The rest of the evening will consist of casual networking with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. The evening is sponsored by Helping Hands Handyman Services Inc. of Farmington Hills. The $10 registration fee can be paid at the door with cash or a check. The Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section, an affiliate section of the State Bar of Michigan, was established in 1990. Comprised of approximately 450 practicing paralegals and legal assistants, it provides education and news to its members on a regular basis through the Michigan Paralegal Newsletter and monthly Newsblast found on their website.
