Butzel Long’s Women’s Leadership Committee was the Michigan host for the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Woman Advocate Committee’s Regional Education and Networking brown bag lunch program on Tuesday, September 22, at the firm’s offices in Ann Arbor, Bloomfield Hills, and Detroit.  A conference call featured Milana Hogan of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP who provided an overview of “The Grit Project: True Grit and a Growth Mindset” which is designed to be a discussion-based program where individuals learn about grit and growth mindset and then apply the frameworks to a problem. A video followed outlining two scenarios: “Struggling with Your Workload” and “Bullying in a Deposition.” Local hosts of the program led a discussion on how grit and mindset can be applied to the two scenarios.  Among those taking part in the program at Butzel Long’s Bloomfield Hills office were (seated, left to right) Debra Geroux of Butzel Long; Ninon Casilla; and Robin Herrmann, Butzel Long shareholder and co-chair of the Regional Networking Roundtable subcommittee; along with (standing, left to right) Karen Geibel, Oakland County judicial staff attorney; and Beth deBaptiste, Butzel Long shareholder.
